Subclass 190 State Nominated Visa
Points-based permanent residence visa for skilled workers nominated by Australian State or Territory Government with minimum 65 points.
The subclass 190 State Nominated visa is an option for candidates with occupations on the Medium and Long Term Skills Shortage List (MLTSSL) with insufficient points in the SkillSelect Points Test to secure an invitation for a subclass 189 visa.
Candidates nominated for a Subclass 190 Visa score an additional five points in the SkillSelect Points Test and once nominated by a State or Territory Government are automatically invited to apply. This visa is also suitable for candidates with an occupation on the Short Term Skilled Occupation List (STSOL) who can only apply for a SkillSelect visa if nominated by a state or territory government.

- Achieve minimum 65 points in SkillSelect Points Test
- Obtain nomination from Australian State or Territory Government
- Meet relevant state or territory occupation list requirements
- Skills assessment from relevant assessing authority
- Functional English language requirement
- Age requirement typically under 45 years
